“Our room did not get the bed made, the towels refreshed. And the soap dispenser above the bath was empty, it didn’t even have a refill bag.
The hotel is very dated and tatty.
The reception is unwelcoming , too few seats, and few staff
When I phoned reception , I should have been told the cleaners to make beds etc. only come in on the third day
We stayed 2 nights.now renamed THE WORST WESTERN.”

“Great brunch and a lovely host. All the staff were amazing. The food was amazing, albeit the dessert was extremely small for the cost. The hotel is really well kept and clean. Easily one of my best hotel experiences. My wife and i are local and just wanted a day/night without the kids and we absolutely loved it. We are going to make it a semi regularly thing. Cant wait to go back ”

“The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is good with different options. The hotel is a little bit far from the ferry pier, it takes about 25 mins to walk there. If you have luggage, you'd better call a taxi, the taxi fare is reasonable anyway. ”

“Had a truly lovely stay at the Trevelyan in Douglas - received a lovely welcome from Delia upon arrival; had a promenade / beachfront view from my 3rd floor room. Comfortable bed. No problems at all with the shared bathroom facilities either. What I would suggest though, is for basic tea/coffee facilities being provided to guests - either directly in their rooms, or at a central location (for example, in the common area on the ground floor). Thank very much once again !”
